The Balkans baskets were hand made from the highest grade of rattan from the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The inspiration for their creation was over 1000 years of tradition of Japanese public Sento baths, where rattan furniture has been used for years as tables or laundry baskets. Combined with a love of the simplicity of Japanese design and the extraordinary skills of our Indonesian craftsmen, baskets of the Balkans were created. The use of these elegant baskets is practically endless, because originally they were to be side tables next to the bathtub emphasizing the natural style of the bathroom, then they became baskets for toys in the children’s room, and today they decorate the living room as the most beautiful spots of a home palm and banana tree. We look forward to the story you give them, and we will gladly pass it on to our wonderful craftsmen.
We are deeply convinced that our local colleagues are the original creators of contemporary trends – luxury craftsmanship inspired by cultural heritage.
